Who we are

FURNADA (“we”, “us”) runs furnada.com, an online furniture store delivering to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. There are no customer accounts and no sign-in. Questions: info@furnada.com.

Seller: Kamal Ali, doing business as Furnada, 533 S Harvard Blvd, Unit D208, Los Angeles, CA 90020, United States. Email info@furnada.com and we’ll send these details to you within 5 days. See also Seller information.

What we collect and why

When you order

Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, the items you buy, the amounts and your payment status. We use them to take payment, deliver your order (the carrier may use your phone number to arrange delivery), send order emails, handle cancellations, claims and refunds, prevent fraud, and keep the records tax and accounting law require. Payments are handled by Stripe: your card details go straight to Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number.

Order tracking, requests and claims

Your order emails carry a private link to your order. It works for 180 days, and we store only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it. If you ask to cancel or report a problem, we keep what you write and any photos you send, to resolve it. Requests, messages and claim photos stay private between you and us (and, where needed to resolve them, our fulfillment partner); we never publish them.

Reviews

Product reviews are paused: we don’t currently invite, accept or publish reviews. If you sent us a review before the pause, we keep it privately, with the order it belongs to, and don’t show it on the site. Before reviews open again, we’ll update this section to explain what a published review shows.

Contact form and emails

Your name, email address, optional phone number, how you prefer to be contacted, the topic and your message. They go to our inbox so we can answer, and you receive an email confirming we got it. If you choose a text message or a call, we use your number only to answer you.

Email sign-up

When our email list is open and you choose to join, we keep your email address and a record of the consent wording you agreed to. Signing up is optional and separate from ordering, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. We don’t send marketing text messages.

Delivery ZIP code

The ZIP code you enter for a delivery estimate stays in your browser. “Use my location” asks our hosting provider for the approximate ZIP code of your internet connection, only when you tap it. We don’t store or log it.

Security

To stop abuse of checkout, the contact form, order requests, newsletter sign-ups, review votes and reports, our own site statistics and our staff sign-in page, we count requests per internet (IP) address for a short time. Those counters are kept apart from the statistics and deleted within about a day (25 hours). Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.

Our own site statistics

To learn which pages and pieces people look at, our own statistics record page views, time on page, product clicks, options chosen, bag views, bag and wishlist adds, checkout starts, the kind of device, the website you came from and how quickly pages load. They use no cookies and don’t store your IP address, browser details or name: each visit gets a random number that lives only in your browser tab. Completed orders are added to these statistics from our order records, with the order’s internal ID, value and number of items, so they can be linked to an order. We don’t share them. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing from your visit is recorded.

Analytics and advertising, only if you allow them

Only if you switch them on in (also at the bottom of every page). Before you make a choice, none of them runs:

  • Analytics (Google Analytics): the pages and products you view, what you add to the bag, when checkout starts and, for an order, its number, value and products, with a random browser identifier. We never send Google your name, email, address or private links.
  • Advertising (Google Ads): the pages you view on furnada.com, so our ads can be shown to people who visited, and, after an order is paid, that a purchase happened, with its order number, value and currency, to measure which ads lead to orders. The ad-click code in the link that brought you here (such as Google’s gclid) is kept on your device for 90 days and saved with your order. We never send Google your name, email, phone number or address.

When you allow them, Google’s own scripts also receive technical information as part of how they work, such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit on furnada.com, and they may collect information about your activity over time and across other websites under their own policies. We don’t use Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie and item of browser storage we use.

Who receives information

Service providers

These companies run parts of the store for us and receive only what each one needs to do that:

  • Stripe: payments and fraud prevention.
  • Supabase: our database (orders, reviews, requests and our site statistics).
  • Netlify: hosting for the website.
  • Resend: sending order and service emails.
  • Our fulfillment partner and delivery carriers: your name, delivery address, phone number and the items, to deliver your order, and the details and photos of a claim when they’re needed to resolve it.

Advertising

Only if you allow advertising, we share shopping activity with Google Ads as described above. That may count as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under California and other state laws. It happens only with your permission, and switching advertising off stops it. Google Analytics is used only to measure our own site, and only if you allow analytics.

Other disclosures

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our customers or our business, or to a buyer if the business is sold. We don’t sell personal information for money, and we don’t share it with other companies for their own marketing.

Your choices

  • Cookie settings: switch analytics and advertising on or off at any time, from the link at the bottom of every page. Switching a group off stops it on your device straight away and deletes its cookies and stored codes from your device. It doesn’t delete what Google already received; to ask about that, make a request below.
  • Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track: if your browser sends either signal, we treat it as your choice: analytics and advertising stay off, and our own statistics record nothing. For California residents, Global Privacy Control is also a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • Emails: order and service emails are part of your order. Marketing emails have an unsubscribe link.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, to get a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, to opt out of its sale or sharing and of targeted advertising, and to appeal our decision on your request. We don’t collect sensitive personal information (your card details stay with Stripe), and we won’t treat you differently for using any of these rights.

How to make a request

  • Email info@furnada.com with “Privacy request” in the subject, or use the contact form with the topic “Privacy request”.
  • To protect your information, we confirm a request to see, copy, correct or delete it comes from you, usually by matching the email address on your order and asking for your order number. A request to opt out of sharing or targeted advertising needs no verification beyond what’s needed to act on it.
  • We confirm we received your request within 10 business days and answer within 45 days. If we need longer, we’ll tell you why, and we’ll answer within 45 more days at most. We act on opt-out requests within 15 business days.
  • Someone you authorize can make a request for you with your signed permission.
  • If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. We’ll respond in writing within 45 days and, if you’re still not satisfied, tell you how to contact your state’s attorney general.

How long we keep information

  • Orders and payment records: as long as needed for delivery, cancellations, claims and refunds, and as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Requests, claims and their photos: as long as needed to resolve them and keep a record of what was agreed.
  • Contact messages: as long as needed to answer and follow up.
  • Reviews sent before the pause: kept privately until reviews reopen; once published, while they’re published, with the record that they came from a verified order.
  • Email sign-up: until you unsubscribe; then the record of your consent and opt-out for as long as needed to show we respected it.
  • Private order links: 180 days. The order-tracking cookie: 24 hours. The checkout cookie: 1 hour. Security counters: about a day (25 hours). Your cookie choice: 12 months.
  • Our site statistics: as long as they help us see trends.
  • Google keeps what they receive under their own retention settings and policies.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, private links are stored only as scrambled (hashed) copies, payment details stay with Stripe, and access to order information is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your private order links to yourself.

Where information is processed

Our service providers process information in the United States and in other countries where they operate.

Children

furnada.com isn’t directed to children and isn’t for anyone under 16. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email info@furnada.com and we’ll delete it.

Changes

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. For important changes we’ll tell you on the site and, where it matters, ask for your cookie choice again.
